I'm just a tree branch

Lucy perches differently than other cats I've known. She'll usually sit on a leg and dig in with her claws a little bit. It's like we are tree branches for her to sit on.

Anyone else have a cat who does this?

That is funny and probably a little painful. None of mine do that. Have a nice weekend!

Lucy knows she's got it good, so she's making sure she's dug in!

Yes! Purka loves to sit like this sometimes. She's quite fat, so her cute folds are hanging from both sides of my leg ahaha! :D

Our Miss Newton does that (and she's ginger). Maybe Lucy isn't used to sitting on laps like other cats? Our second thought was maybe she only likes soft and cushy spots and maybe she has a touch of arthritis in her hips? We think she just likes to fool with you... as we all know ginger girls do on a daily basis.

She’s just hanging on to you to make sure you don’t go anywhere.

Binga doesn't do this exactly, but she has put some holes in a few of my human's leggings.

Some of my cats do that sometimes. In hot weather it looks like I've been walking through brier patches. Sometimes even having the covers pulled up doesn't help. Kitties !
